FSB 2015 – from 27^th to 30^th October 2015

For the traditional biennial event FSB Cologne, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has chosen a floor made in Italy, the well-known PORTABLE FLOOR model Bormio manufactured by Seicom.

All FIBA Village exhibition spaces have been remodeled, new exhibiting location in Koelnmesse Hall 7 too, and Black the color chosen by FIBA to represent Fiba Village 2015. All main companies Partners of FIBA  Equipe & Venue have been hosted within Fiba Village. Right in center, portable floor Bormio hosted athletes taking part to small competitions, animators involving people in challenges, gadgets for everybody: a real success for Portable Floor Bormio made by Seicom.

Seicom was present with a booth within Fiba Village area, where all customers & visitors have been welcomed to see new Seicom installations worldwide, 2016 news; all visitors have received the gift of the nice basket ball offered by Seicom to kids.

A portable floor model BORMIO was also installed in the stand BODET on a surface of 100 m2. Bodet is a well-known French manufacturer of scoreboards, clocks and sports accessories. This yellow and black colored floor was highly appreciated and has enhanced the booth, making it warmer & coordinated with the big floor on FIBA main court.

Several are the references with model Bormio, which confirms to be more and more an international floor. In 1999 it was supplied for FIBA FINAL FOUR – OLYMPIAHALLE MUNICH (GERMANY) and in 2014 for Athens Olympic Games. More recently, in 2014, for Saratov Russia – first division VTB League – as well as for African Union Sports Council (two portable floors in Zimbabwe). More references are in Hungary, Romania, Uruguay etc.

SPORT PARQUET TUNISIA

Recent installation of two major Sport Halls in Tunisia

SPORT HALL Haouaria: Sport Parquet Floor 1.200 sqm2 - up to 1.500 spectators - will be used for official games. In the inauguration pictures His Excellence Juichi TAKAHARA (Ambassador of Japan), His Excellence Mr. Mohamed Akremi HAMDI, Governer of Nabeul and Dr. Férid BEN FADHEL, President of Municipality of El Haouaria.

The total amount of the renovation project was 170 000 Dinars, and helped renovate the only sport hall of the Municipality with the installation of a nwe SPORTS PARQUET FLOORS. The multi-sport hall is a multi functional sports area, regularly hosting National women's volleyball team during summer training camp. The purpose of this project is to give El Haouaria's athletes the chance to practice their activities more easily - on all levels and in all categories - in a pleasant facility without the risk of injuries, as well as to promote their way of life and sports abilities.

As host of Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020, Japan is increasing its cooperation and exchanges in sports with all countries worldwide, as for the current project.

This cooperation between the Embassy of Japan in Tunisia and the local organizations fits in this framework of aid, granted by Japan Government through help for local micro-projects with the aim of a direct reply to Tunisian market demands.

Ouardia Sport Hall is a training facility, it will be used for basketball and volleyball; the surface is 800 m2, and right after the inauguration it has become a reference for the local teams, who appreciate the excellent flexibility of model SPLUGA and its light color, that has immediately enhanced the entire facility.

SPORT FLOOR Spluga & Air Flex leveling system

NEWS 2015 

AS FROM TODAY IT WILL BE SIMPLE TO TAKE ACTION ON UNEVEN AND DISJOINTED CONCRETE.

 

We have applied a system with adjustable wedges to all our models. This consists of pad as elastic support and allows to install SPLUGA and AIR FLEX systems also on uneven and not leveled concrete: the system can balance difference in thickness from 10 mm up to 45 mm.

It happens more and more often to act on uneven and disjointed concrete, this can be a problem while installing, but the leveling wedge helps solving this issue: this leveling element is made of hardy plastic material, once installed it is locked by an anti slip system which grants an excellent resistance to significant stress during game phases.

 

This solution is perfect for quick intervention when there's no time to make a new concrete subfloor, that requires long drying time, at least 1 month for a 4 cm concrete.

 

The wedges system perfectly integrates with model SPLUGA and AIR FLEX - the rugged plastic support does not affect the flexibility of the sports floor.
