SPORT PARQUET TUNISIA

Recent installation of two major Sport Halls in Tunisia

SPORT HALL Haouaria: Sport Parquet Floor 1.200 sqm2 - up to 1.500 spectators - will be used for official games. In the inauguration pictures His Excellence Juichi TAKAHARA (Ambassador of Japan), His Excellence Mr. Mohamed Akremi HAMDI, Governer of Nabeul and Dr. Férid BEN FADHEL, President of Municipality of El Haouaria.

The total amount of the renovation project was 170 000 Dinars, and helped renovate the only sport hall of the Municipality with the installation of a nwe SPORTS PARQUET FLOORS. The multi-sport hall is a multi functional sports area, regularly hosting National women's volleyball team during summer training camp. The purpose of this project is to give El Haouaria's athletes the chance to practice their activities more easily - on all levels and in all categories - in a pleasant facility without the risk of injuries, as well as to promote their way of life and sports abilities.

As host of Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020, Japan is increasing its cooperation and exchanges in sports with all countries worldwide, as for the current project.

This cooperation between the Embassy of Japan in Tunisia and the local organizations fits in this framework of aid, granted by Japan Government through help for local micro-projects with the aim of a direct reply to Tunisian market demands.

Ouardia Sport Hall is a training facility, it will be used for basketball and volleyball; the surface is 800 m2, and right after the inauguration it has become a reference for the local teams, who appreciate the excellent flexibility of model SPLUGA and its light color, that has immediately enhanced the entire facility.

Sport Parquet Vintage

Cremona, a Seicom "Vintage" Sport-Parquet-Floors manufactured in 1968 is today still used by teams to play basketball.

This Sport Parquet Floor has been sanded several times. The sport facility has been renovated in 2009, roof re-built, but the Parquet is still the original one dated 1968, manufactured and installed by our Company.

Model BORMIO, pre-fabricated portable system consisting of fir wood from Valtellina has been manufactured by Seicom between 1968 and 1980, and it's still present today in many sports facilities in Italy.  Nowadays fir wood is no longer used for parquet floors, since it's considered as a soft species, subject to movements, resins, a poor wood of low commercial value, but in the 60s/70s - when gyms were mainly supplied with rubber or PVC - the solution offered by Seicom consisting of Portable Panels FIBA approved made of fir wood was a real vanguard. Then portable floors have become a more and more popular choice and they began to use more noble wood species such as maple, oak, beech and then to approach high value tropical species such as hevea rubber wood.

FIBA Sports Parquet Floors 2015

New rules for FIBA certified products

As from 2015 FIBA sports parquet floors will be safer and more guaranteed.  

As from 1st January 2015 all FIBA certified products must be covered with liability insurance policy for a value not lower than 3.000.000 CHF.

Only Companies in possession of this insurance will sign the new contract and will therefore be FIBA certified for the period 2015 – 2016.

This further standard will definitely certify safer products recommended by FIBA for sports facilities. In 2012 SEICOM had already signed a liability insurance policy and a products insurance policy with ALLIANZ , who works on international level.

The "Products liability insurance policy" signed by Seicom covers all civil risks that may occur due to damage or subsidence of the sports parquet floor due to manufacture defects.

He released this interview with Seicom Sports Flooring  since he's really satisfied with the new parquet floor; four months after the installation he had the chance to test the performance of the SPORTS PARQUET FLOOR model SONDRIO. During the interview he expresses the approval for a SPORTS FLOOR which is extremely performing and suitable for all sports, excellent for squash competitions as well.  

The gym Guerrilla is a sports center located in Padova, in the city; it's the reference for squash in Padova - and not only Padova. The gym has hosted many events on regional and national level. Foreign players are often guests of the center as well.
